Q. Richard how long have you been running and what got you into running?
Since 2012, as I wanted to run a marathon for the first time on my 40th birthday.
Q.what is your best/favourite race and why?
London marathon takes some beating because of the level of support and crowd interaction but the Norwich Lord Mayors 5k is a great race for similar reasons, albeit on a smaller scale.
Q. Do you have a course type that you prefer?
Flat roads are perfect if you want to run a good time, but scenic off road runs are more enjoyable.
Q.what is your PB for a 10 K race?
34 mins, 15 seconds
Q.Richard you came second last year in the Dedham Run – how do you rate the course?
It’s a decent course with some nice views although running up the hill through the village centre is tough
Q.with regards to the course what advice if any would you give to the first time runner?
Do some hill training!
